本科学生汉英误译的成因及对策

An Analysis of the Causes for the Typical Errors Committed by English Majors in Their Chinese-to-English Translation and Countermeasures against them

In the course of translation certain errors are often committed by major students, the causes for which include lack of background knowledge, misunderstanding of the SL text, wrong expressions in the TL text and cultural barriers. Hence in the teaching process, the teacher should take effective countermeasures against them by giving control to the whole teaching process in order to help students widen their range of knowledge, focus on basic theories, improve both their English and Chinese language skills and cultivate their cross cultural sense so as to solve the problem.
