Abstract:The paper introduces briefly protected mode of X86 platform, describes the key techniques and programming ways of implementing a multi - task experimentation demo system base on X86 protected mode, including booting of X86 protected mode, initialization and interrupt routines of it, converting from kernel mode to user mode, designing of user processes, switching and scheduling' between tasks, etc.
