| 摘 要： | 委婉语不仅是人们日常交往中调节人际关系的重要工具,而且还是众多文学作品中使用频率极高的修辞手段。文章结合大量的实例详细分析了委婉语的语义特征,从跨文化的角度分析了有关委婉语在英汉互译中应注意的问题,以避免跨文化交际失误的出现。

| Abstract: | Periphrase is not only an important daily communication tool to lubricate interpersonal relationships, but also a frequently-used rhetoric in literature works. The article first analyzes the semantic characteristics of periphrase with abundant examples, then elaborates some problems deserving attentions on Chinese and English periphrase translation from the cultural-related angle, so as to avoid the misunderstanding during the exchange of different cultures. |
