新闻报道中情态的使用反映了新闻报道中事件真相的模糊性和责任归属的商讨性两大语用特征。情态的选择过程与语言的变异性、商讨性和顺应性有关,而且以语境为语言选择的现实基础,其顺应层次涉及结构对象和意识凸显程度,是一个随时间和心理认知动态变化的过程。新闻报道中情态的人际功能包括寻求报道中的主客观平衡、建构语篇层面的多声协商和顺应文化规约的心理认知。

The Interpersonal Function of Modalities in News Report from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory

The use of modality in news reflects two pragmatic features,namely the fuzziness of the truth of the events and the negotiability concerning where the responsibility lies. The selection process of modality is related to the variability,negotiability and adaptability of language,based on the real context,whose adaptation level involves structured objects and degree of salience,and is a dynamic cognitive process over the change of time as well as the psychological state of language users. Its interpersonal function involves the pursuit of balance between the subjectivity and objectivity within the reports,the construction of the heteroglossic space at the discourse level,and the reflection of the psychological cognition complying with the culture and conventions related.
