| Abstract: | This article first analyses historically and logically the implication and peculiarities of the concept of Chengren in Chinese traditional education, and then points out that its modern value lies in the principle of emphasizing moral education, the principle of having both ability and political integrity, and also the principle of combining social nature and individual nature together.these principles still have important guiding functions for our country's modern educational construction. |
