近代翻译对中国现代观念的塑造

Shaping of Chinese Modern Ideas Through Translation in the Modern Times

Translation in modern times （from about 1840 to 1919） tells us the process of how modernity originated in Chi ha. It is translation of scientific and technological writings, social science ideas and literary works during this period that triggered the formation of Chinese global patterns and nationality views, enhanced the social system transformation, reconstruction of ethnic values and promoted the change of human rights views, the elimination of old literary thoughts, the birth of new literary forms and the establishment of the Vernacular Chinese. As a historical writing of Chinese modernity functioning in the Coordinate System of China and the West, of the ancient and the modern times, translation brings about the originality of Chinese modernity and its evolution jointly determined by the global modernization and Chinese particular cultural roots.
