| Abstract: | Reading plays a dominant role among the four skills in the foreign language acquisition. In order to find a better way of teaching reading, the paper discusses the theory of schema and its roles in reading, for example, it helps readers to better interpret the text, and accelerate their reading rate. By applying the schema theory into reading practice, the authors aim to benefit both teachers and students. |
