Quality-based Teacher Education Policy in Australia

In recent years,the Australian Commonwealth Department of Education,Science and Training has launched a campaign for improving the teachers' quality so as to achieve the basic educational goals with a high standard at the national level in facing of the challenge of knowledge economy and information society. This paper,based on the national policy,is to introduce and analyse the background and strategies of improving the teachers' quality,hoping to offer some meaningful enlightenment.
