| 摘 要： | 本文讨论广义的习语，包含成语、谚语、歇后语、俗语、俚语、典故，比较中英两国文化体系，使中英习语在意义和表现形式上，既有相似之处，也存在着明显的差异，其中地理环境和宗教信仰对英汉习语的影响尤为明显．并着重分析英中地理环境和宗教信仰的差异及其对英汉习语的影响。
