| 摘 要： | 卢瑟福是现代世界著名的科学家。在科学研究中坚持以唯物主义哲学为指导，始终重视科学事实和科学实验在人们认识真理，发展真理和检验真理中的作用，是他在科学研究中作出重大贡献的根本原因。同时由于许多复杂原因，卢瑟福还不能完全自觉地用辩证唯物主义来指导自己的科学研究工作，使他对哲学理论思维在科学研究中的意义认识不足。应该正确地发挥辩证唯物主义哲学对科学研究的指导作用，谨防马克思主义哲学在指导具体科学研究中的

| Abstract: | The paper suggests that the fundamental reasons why Rutherford made great contributions to science is his persistent value of the roles of solentific facts and experiments on the human recognition,development and test of the truth. And it also discusses about his limitations in this aspect. |
