| 摘 要： | 编辑作为委托人通常要参与一部翻译作品从最初酝酿到最终出版的全过程。在《白马集》的编辑出版过程中，从译书目的的确定到译书内容的选择，从翻译标准的制定到译文的修改定稿，处处受到编辑白英的支配与影响。事实上，编辑白英在《白马集》的成书过程中起到了决定性的作用。

The White Pony is a typical example to show editors＇ decisive and dominant role in making a translated book, for its editor Robert Payne＇s influence can be found everywhere in this anthology： from translation aim to translation choice, from translation standard to translation revision. |
