明清徽州书院的经费来源问题探析

An Analysis of the Fund Sources in Huizhou Academy of Ming and Qing

In Ming and Qing, the external financial input and the internal fund management in Huizhou Academy were quite different from those of other academies in China. In Huizhou Academy, the external financial input primarily came from private donations, rather than government funding; the internal income was a result mainly from loaning money to Huizhou Merchants to earn interest and purchasing houses to collect the rent. This particular approach of fund sources is closely related to the special cultural context and the social environment of lineages and merchants in Huizhou.
