The Historical Change of Xu Songshi's Outlook on Education

The paper discusses the change of Xu Songshi＇s outlook on education with the change of his world outlook by the use of his translations and writings. It thinks that there had been several major changes in Xu ＇s outlook on education from Confucianism and Mencius thought to the modern knowledge learning from the West, and then to Christianity, and then to the combination of the three above, and finally to Christianity. Those changes were associated with the expansion of his knowledge and his rich experience.
