| Abstract: | By using some Chinese synonymy complex words, such as ＂xianxie＂, this paper tries to find the relevance of synonymy complex words in their pronunciation and semantics through analyzing the ancient pronunciation and meanings of their inner morphemes. The result of the analysis suggests that the relevance has something to do with ＂similarity of association＂. |
