Literature Organization: Linearity or Multi-Dimensions

Classification, the traditional way for literature organization, is a typical "liner mode". The major weakness is that there is a single retrieval approach in the mode. The weakness of a liner mode and the features of the Web information retrieval are analysed. How to improvev the traditional literature organization modes and realize multi-dimensional retriaval and hyperretrieval in Web environment are discussed in this arti-cle.
