“80后”写作基本上属于未完成时成长小说，从成长小说的叙事语法来说，“半成人”形象的塑造是其重要艺术价值。这种半成人的特质在于：独立／依赖、坚强／脆弱、孤独／狂欢。家长制下的伦理桎梏、意识形态的规训以及消费主义无孔不入的诱惑三管齐下是“半成人”的文化生成机制。但，“80后”最终长大成人还是有可能的。
