中国古代官德思想及其当代启示

官员的德行操守对社会有着极大的导向作用，关乎立国安民的大局。中国古代社会非常重视官德，留下了丰富而成熟的官德思想。纵观中国古代官德思想，可以发现其对忠、公、廉、勤、学五个方面非常重视。中国古代官德思想有其积极性，具体表现在促使了一批清官廉吏的产生、维护了政治秩序的稳定、促进了社会道德建设。中国古代官德思想也有其局限性，具体表现在重自律而轻约束、官德缺少现实的感召力、包含有不少权术等。中国古代官德思想对当今官德建设有一定启示，可以概括为以修身为本、德法并重、树立榜样三方面。

Ancient Chinese Thoughts on Official Morality and its Modern Inspiration

The moral and ethical conduct of officials has a great guiding effect for the society and plays a influencing role to the overall situation of the country and the people. In ancient China, great importance was attached to official virtues, and rich and mature thoughts about it were left behind. Throughout ancient Chinese thoughts on official virtues, it could be found that there were five essential elements including loyalty, justice, integrity,diligence and erudition. These thoughts had their positive aspects, which produced a group of clean officials, maintained the stability of political order and promoted the moral construction. While, it also had its limitations, which paid more attention to self-discipline than to the restraint, lacked the practical appeal and involved many techniques of political power. Ancient Chinese thoughts on official morality have some inspiration for modern official morality construction, which can be summarized in three aspects: self-cultivation as the essence, equal emphasis on virtue and law, and setting a model.
