高职英语教学的现状、特点和方法探讨

目前在我国兴起的高等职业技术学院强调"能力为本",重在培养技能型和应用型人才。这一办学宗旨无疑适合我国的国情。然而,就英语教学而言,这一目标能否实现,前景并不乐观,因为它与多年形成的英语教学模式格格不入,与高职学生的现实特点有差距。高职外语教学要贯彻其宗旨和获得真正意义上的成功,有必要对外语教学的性质、特点和方法重新加以认识,同时须对目前的外语教学从指导思想到具体方法进行彻底的改造,此外别无它途。

Research on Actuality, Characteristics and Teaching Method of English-Teaching in Higher Vocational Education

The purpose of the booming vocational education college in China is to emphasize "ability first" principle, in order to bring up practical talents. The tenet acts undoubtedly in accord with China's present situation. However, as the teaching of English in vocational colleges wholly deviates from the model formed for years and actual characteristics of the college students, the prospect of the tenet will be compromised. If the tenet can be carried out and perform significantly achievements, the character and the methodology of language teaching should be rethought, furthermore, nothing but guiding ideology and teaching method ought to be altered in current teaching of English to meet the new requirement.
