王士禛歌行体咏物诗所咏对象大体可以分为三类:文物、动植物和日用器物。咏文物古玩尚典实,咏动植物多生气,咏日用器物重情趣。他在对所咏之物进行从形相到神理的多层次摹写的同时,往往把人生的意气灌注其中,实践了其“不即不离,不粘不脱”的咏物规范。
