The Interpretation of Adaptability of Business English Euphemisms

Based on the Adaptation Theory, the thesis elaborates how business English euphemisms adapt to different occasions and speaking targets, such as the role of speaker, the feeling of both sides, psychological desire of being respect and polite, social position, gender, religious belief in English - speaking countries, the moral view and value system of the community and dialogue environment. By doing this, the thesis expects to offer guidance for business English learners and employees, consequently reduces pragmatic failure.
