温庭筠与商业

温庭筠是晚唐商业圈中最醒目的一个文人,商业对他的人生态度和创作产生了很大的影响。尽管他的终极追求未被从商取代而仍然是入仕,但并不意味着他对商业没有梦想。他在商业问题上的矛盾,实际上是中国文化在文人身上形成的一个解不开的结,而这个结则预示着中国封建社会因缺乏发达的商业文化的滋养而不可能产生成熟的资本主义。

WEN Ting-yun and Commerce

Wen Tingyun was a most well-known writer in business circle of late Tang Dynasty. Business affected him deeply on his writing and his attitude to life. Although his ultimate aim was still to be an official, he had a colorful dream in business. The contradiction Wentingyun had in business was actually a tie that Chinese culture had tied Chinese writers, and the tie hinted that capitalism couldn't come into being in China's feudal society for lack of developed commercial culture.
