The Sky High above Overshines the Sea The Man Standing atop Outstands the Peak

Professor Gao Shan has devoted his energies to research on the lithosphere geochemistry of Eastern China and modern analytical geochemistry.His scientific specializations include three major fields which are the chemical composition and structure of continental crust,chemical exchange between the crust and the mantle,and in-situ microanalysis approaches.A series of innovative achievements of international interests were made by him in these fields.His attitude to work is of severeness,perseverance,self-discipline and creativity.For years,he has also applied himself to the construction of research group and cultivation of young scientists and graduate students.He is a distinguished geochemist of international standing and academic leader in geochemistry in contemporary China.
