| Abstract: | With the damages by frequent disasters in Fujian and Taiwan during the Ming and Qing dynasties, there arose more zealous Mazu-belief, which made its first appearance in Meizhou Island, Putian in the Song Dynasty, thus influencing such aspects as pluralism, human nature and faith in "fenshen". |
