德与色,贞女贤妇与"自由"女性--《聊斋志异》"人类"与"非人类"正面女性形象比较

《聊斋志异》中的正面女性形象可分为人类女性与非人类女性,她们都具有“无妒”的共同点,同时她们之间又具有更大的不同点：人类女性形象并不一定美貌。但无妒、听从“父母之命,媒妁之言”、坚决主动地守贞、严格遵循封建礼教,可以说是贞女贤妇;而非人类女性形象虽然也无妒,但她们美貌、向男性自荐枕席,与男性较自由地结合、几乎完全置封建礼教于不顾,可以称之为“自由”女性。这两类不同女性形象的产生,源于封建社会中男性对女性的德、色双重需求的外化。

The positive images of women in the Strange Stories From a Chinese Studio written by Pu Songling may be divided into mankind and non-mankind.These women show no feeling of envy,but they have some differences:the mankind women are usually ordinary_looking,obey"the command of parents and the good words of a go-between",defend virginity resolutely,and adhere to the feudal ethics strictly.Therefore,we can say they are virtuous.While non-mankind women are beautiful and have sex with men of their own free will,almost brushing aside the feudal ethics.So they can be called"liberated"women.The emergence of the images of these two different kinds of women results from man's demands of both morality and sex in the feudal society.
