| 摘 要： | 《梅丽迪安》是美国当代黑人女作家艾丽斯·沃克的第二部长篇小说,其中男主人公杜鲁门形象的成功塑造体现了作者对黑人民族现实的深切关注.文章通过对杜鲁门双重性格的分析指出,主人公的这一特殊性格不仅体现了沃克现实主义的创作思想,而且反映出作者寄予黑人男子的深切希望摆脱种族、性别观念的束缚,塑造健康完整的人格,实现男子精神的复归,勇敢担负起解放黑人民族的重任.

| Abstract: | Meridian is the second novel by Alice Walker,the contemporary Afro-American woman writer.Its hero Truman is created to reflect the author's great concern for the black community.Based on the analysis of Truman's personality and its cause,this paper concludes that the portrayal of the hero with a double character not only reveals Walker's realist intention in her writing,but also proves that she endows great hope with the black males. |
