生活即教育:涵义与疑义

摘    要:“生活即教育”是陶行知生活教育理论的核心命题,其涵义可以解读为三个层面:在内容上,是生活就是教育,生活具有教育意义;在方法上,不是生活就不是教育,生活法即教育法;在目标上,是好生活就是好教育,为生活向前向上的需要而教育。同时,该命题存在三个方面的疑义:就教育的范畴言,教育影响不同于教育目的;就教育的功能言,意向之教有别于成功之教,教育的意义存在不同的标准;就教育的实践言,教育中的生活区别于生活中的教育。检讨生活与教育的关系,需分析教育在指称和含义上的多歧性。

Abstract:"Life is education" is the kernel of Tao Xingzhi's education theories. Its connotation can be interpreted into three layers.In its content,what is life is education,i.e.life is educational;in its method,what is not life is not education,i.e.way of life is method of education;in its aim,what is good life is good education,i.e.education aims at better life.Meanwhile,there are three doubts in the proposition.In domain,the influence of education is different from the aims of education;in function,purposeful education differs from successful education(i.e.there are different criteria on the meaning of education);in practice,the life in the context of education differs from the education in the context of life.Different implications of education in terms of its indication and connotations need to be analyzed when we examine the relationship between education and life.
