| 摘 要： | 现代经济增长最终将带来生活水平的普遍提高,但是英国工业革命时期工人的生活水平是否提高,对此英国学术界曾有较大争议。作为工人阶级的重要组成部分,英国农业工人在经历了相当长时期的实际工资水平停滞和下滑后,直到1820年以后方才迎来生活水平的改善;然而与工业工人相比,其改善不仅滞后而且程度有限。

| Abstract: | Modern economic growth will eventually improve people's living standards,yet whether the workers' living standards actually improved during the English industrial revolution remains a highly controversial issue.As an important part of the English workforce,the agricultural workers' wages suffered a long stagnation or even dwindling back before an eventual improvement in 1820.In comparison with the industrial workers,this improvement was both postponed and meager. |
