开启社会科学研究的想象力

当代中国社会转型,所面对的世情、国情、党情异常复杂,社会矛盾凸显。社会科学对于社会和自我的定义,正在为新的现实所推翻。要想充分发挥社会科学研究对社会建设的智力支持作用,就必须对社会科学研究的方法论进行反思。米尔斯所倡导的"社会学的想象力",是指在个人困扰和公众论题之间建立联系,在微观的经验材料和宏观的社会历史之间进行穿梭的能力,能为研究者洞察转型期社会问题提供必要的、也是梦寐以求的思想武器。

Open the Imagination of Social Science Research

Social transformation in contemporary China faces extremely complex conditions, for the situation of the world, the nation and the party is changing. Social contradictions increase sharply. To give full play of intellectual support to social construction, social sciences must reflect on the methodology in researches. Mills advocated ＂sociological imagination＂, which refers to the connection between personal issues and public topic, the insight between the micro experience in and the macro history. Sociological imagination provides necessary and dreamed weapon for researchers to understand the social problems in period of social transition.
