西藏和平解放前美、印在西藏问题上的分歧

从政治角度看，美国政府认为在东西方对抗中西藏具有重要的“地缘政治意义”，从军事角度看，西藏作为亚洲巨大的“安全岛”的地位也不容忽视，因而美国千方百计插手西藏问题，阻挠中国政府接管西藏。而印度政府认为，从政治角度看，结盟政策威胁世界和平，从安全角度看，美国控制西藏对印度的威胁更大，因而印度对美国分离西藏的政策持消极态度。
