| Abstract: | The fundamental task of translation is to make a correct understanding of the source text while the context will help translators achieve better comprehensions of the words and the whole text. By analyzing the function of the context in translation from both the broad sense and the narrow sense, this paper reassures that context plays a great role in translation. |
