清末民初中国书画的现代化转型初探

摘    要:中国书画的现代化转型并不是在改革开放后才出现的,它是在鸦片战争以后,随着社会政治经济的转型而逐渐形成异于传统书画的面貌,这种转型无疑是在西方文明的冲击下的被迫回应和文化主动选择的结果。伴随着中国社会惨烈的现代化进程,中国传统的书画分别走上了不同的转型之路,一是复古而求新,一是借鉴西洋写实主义传统,这两者都达到了殊途同归的现代化结果。

Abstract:The modernization of Chinese calligraphy and painting did not begin in 1978 but after the Opium War, when the transformation of politics and economics brought it forth which differs greatly from the traditional one. This transformation is no doubt the result of the impact of the western civilization and the active choice of the Chinese culture. With the tragic process of the modernization of the Chinese society, China's calligraphy and painting started on two different roads of transformation, one being seeking the new by restoring the ancient ways and the other, borrowing western realism, both of which have reached the same goal.
