关于我院办学定位的思考

我院由专科升格为本科院校后，办学规模迅速扩大，办学实力明显加强，发展空间进一步拓宽，发展的态势越来越好。但是，由于本科办学时间不长，经验不足，师资力量相对较弱，管理模式陈旧，办学定位不明确，制约了学院更好更快地发展。对此，文章指出我院应定位于理工科“教学型”大学。

Reflection on the Positioning of Huangshi Institute of Technology

With the upgrade of our college to undergraduate college, it develops greatly in the following aspects： the scale, the strengths, the rooms to be developed, etc. However, many factors restrain the development of our college. They are the lack of experience in running an undergraduate college due to the fact that it is a newly upgraded one, the weakness of faculty, the old fashion of the management mode and vague positioning of the college. The author of this paper advocates that we should aim to develop our college into a Science and technology university focusing mainly on ＂teaching＂ .
