| Abstract: | In the study of Huizhou pawnbroking of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the rate of pawn cannot be mistaken as the capital rate; the capital rate cannot be mistaken as the highest capital rater and we cannot denounce the high interest in the ancient times because of the present low interest. |
