| 摘 要： | 英汉习语的文化差异、源于中英两个民族在不同的历史进程中形成的文化意识差，诸如在生存环境、风俗习惯、地理环境、历史背景等方面所表达的意义存在着明显的差并。只有在了解和掌握两个民族各不相同的文化渊源的基础上．才能顺利进行习语的学习。

| Abstract: | This paper analyses the main reasons of cult ur al differences of English and Chinese idioms. Cultural differences between China and England, which have been developed in history, make idioms apparently dissi milar due to different living conditions, customs, geographical features and his torical backgrounds. Only when we have a good grasp of different cultural origin s of both nations can we study the idioms in a proper way. |
