大学英语篇章阅读教学研究:语域理论视角

摘    要:系统功能语言学理论认为,语言活动受语境支配,不同语境下的语言使用构成不同的语域。语域和文化语境与情景语境密切相连,由话语范围、话语基调和话语方式构成,这三个语境要素分别体现为语篇的三种功能:概念、人际和谋篇功能。由此可知,语篇总是体现出一定的语域特征,通过对语域特征的分析,即对语篇三种功能的分析,进行整体语篇教学,就能准确理解语篇和作者的写作意图,提高阅读效率。

Abstract:Systemic functional linguistics holds that language use is constrained by its context and different contexts constitute various registers.Register,which is composed of field,tenor and mode,is realized by the ideational,interpersonal and textual functions of language.Such a relationship between register and text suggests that register be embodied in the text and a good analysis of the register is the best interpretation of the text itself.The implication of the register lies in its contributions to the teaching of English reading.
