| 摘 要： | 盐井沟是我国第四纪哺乳动物化石的最为经典的产地之一，该地区出土的动物群是华南“大熊猫-剑齿象动物群”的重要组成部分和典型代表。通过对盐井沟动物群的研究历史，并结合地质、地貌特征和动物群组成成分的介绍，可以知其在古生物学研究中的价值，以及盐井沟动物群的古地理学研究意义，及其对长江三峡的贯通具有的指示性作用。

| Abstract: | Yanjinggou is one of the most classical fossil localities of Quaternary mammals in China. The fauna unearthed in this place is an important part and a typical representative of Ailuropoda-Stegodon fauna in South China. This paper, combining with faunal composition, geological and geomorphological features, summarizes the researching history of the Yanjinggou fauna and points out its value in paleontological research. Moreover, the implications of the paleogeographical research on Yanjinggou fauna is elaborated, and its indicating function of the Three George’s opening to navigation is also pointed out. |
