The Prospects for the Early Childhood Education Reform of America in Digital Age

In November 2011,the Cooney Center,cooperating with the Stanford Educational Leadership Institute,published a plan of action to advance the use of effective digital media in early childhood education and to improve its quality.This indicates that the U.S. will reform early childhood education to adapt to the digital age.Digital technology has become one of the main features of the era,and the individual’s learning and life are also transformed.Education reform should emphasize the significant roles digital technologies can play in building human capital,stimulating innovation and develop 21st century skills in order to continuously improve the country’s international competitiveness.
