Visual Metaphors and It's Thinking Methods in Knowledge Visualization

The thesis reviews the research status of visual metaphor in knowledge visualization,Trying to start with the inner relationship between knowledge visualization and visual representation,discussed the meaning of visual metaphor in knowledge visualization and it’s thinking methods.Based on a theory of metaphorology,the thesis divided visual metaphor into two types including passive and active during the discussing of the essence of visual metaphor.The thesis then analyzing the visual metaphor thinking mode from broad sense and narrow sense,so as to offer certain reference methods for a proper use of visual metaphor in knowledge visualization.
