Reflections on the Debate about Human Nature and Class Nature between Liang Shiqiu and Lu Xun

A very heated debate between the great writers Liang Shiqiu and Lu Xun about the human nature and the class nature of literary writings,took place in the history of modern chinese literary criticism during the 1930s,with which several topics were involved,such as their different political option,cultural preference,aesthetic value,the quality of writings,and the function of literature.It is currently necessary for us to re read their disputes over the issues in the historical context,for it might bring on a new perspective,a new paradigm to the cultural implication and the genesis of modern Chinese literary criticism.
