英汉句型结构蕴涵的思维模式差异与英语教学

语言和思维是密不可分的,人的语言表达是受思维方式支配的,英汉思维模式的差异使得英汉句型结构差异较大。因此,研究英汉思维特点,弄清其对句型结构的影响,对外语教学具有十分重要的意义。本文从英汉两种语言的定语排列顺序、状语排列顺序、时间取向与时间顺序等几个方面阐述了英汉两种语言表达方式的差异,指出英语教师在英语教学中如能注意培养学生的英语表达能力和思维习惯,将有助于推动英语教学实践。

Different Modes of Thinking Reflected in Sentence Patterns of English and Chinese and English Teaching

A language is closely related to thinking. The expression of a language of people is dominated by the thinking mode. So, it is very important to English teaching for us to study the features of English and Chinese and make clear their influence on the structures of the two languages. This paper discusses the differences of thinking modes between English and Chinese through order of modifiers, adverbials, time sequence, etc. It is also pointed out that a teacher of English should pay special attention to the cultivation of the ability of students in expressing in English and thinking habits, which will help to improve English teaching practice.
