On the whole, the construction of roads and bridges in the Ming Dynasty is characterized by wide range of social participation which made transportation industry develop rapidly in the case of social stability and economic prosperity. But on the other hand, it caused ambiguity of property right of the roads and bridges, thus some roads and bridges became the profit-making tool.
