事实与价值——可持续发展的价值根源

人类社会的发展应当是建立在事实与价值统一基础之上的人与自然、人与人和谐的发展。进入工业文明后， 人类在机械发展观的指导下， 只关注了自身利益的满足而忽视了客观规律对人类的活动制约， 最终造成事实与价值的冲突， 使人类社会的发展陷入不可持续的境地。这种机械发展观有着深刻的认识论根源， 是人们割裂了暂时性和长远性、需要的正当性和非正当性、动机与效果、正价值与负价值以及手段与目的等一系列矛盾既对立又统一的辩证关系而造成的。生态严重失衡造成的恶果使人类认识到，只有使事实与价值重新统一协调起来， 才能从根本上解决人与自然的矛盾， 使人类走上可持续发展之路
