There are three viewpoints ： （ 1 ） In the first year of Xining reign when Wang Anshi set out to the capital for a position; （2） In the seventh year of Xining reign while Wang Anshi was going back to Jiangning after he was dismissed ; （3） In the eighth year of Xining reign when Wang Anshi went to the capital to become the prime minister again. Analysing from the time background, the ideas of the writer and the facts that Song History recorded, only the second month of spring in the eighth year of Xining reign is the right time in which Wang Anshi wrote the poet. To clarify the time is beneficial to comprehending the literature works for readers.
