| Abstract: | The paper, based on the questionnaire, studies the present situation of and existing problems in the academic - practical quality of English teachers in higher vocational colleges in Shandong Province. It analyzes the causes of the existing problems and in turn brings up English teachers＇ perceptions for their academic - practical quality and expectations and suggestions of the development of it. This investigation provides practical foundation for the establishment and implementation of the academic - practical quality of English teachers in terms of necessity, policy establishment, training modes, effective approaches and assessment system. |
