| 摘 要： | Ancient Chinese believed that souls would remain alive after human beings died. The soul, like the living, also needs clothes meals, shelters and vehicles. Ceramic tomb figures,buried as funeral objects are symbolic objects that meet needs of the dead as when they are alive. Ceramic tomb figures appeared as early as the Spring and Autumn period（770-476BC）. |
