茶文化及其审美意蕴简论

茶文化是中国传统文化的重要组成部分。狭义的茶文化是指广义茶文化中的＂精神财富＂部分。从＂荼＂到＂茶＂可以见出中国茶文化的悠久历史及其博大精深;审美意蕴就是审美对象里面所包含的理性内涵。美是审美主体和审美对象在社会生活实践中形成的情感价值关系的感性显现。茶文化的审美意蕴是茶德精神的审美性内容和形象性表达。茶文化活动的媒介、形象及其意象、情境等,无不包含着茶文化精神和蕴涵着丰富的审美意蕴。中国茶文化的审美意蕴从静、和、雅三方面获得了充分表现。

A Brief Discussion on the Tea Culture and Its Aesthetic Implications

As an important component of traditional Chinese culture,the tea culture,in its narrow sense,refers to the ＂spiritual wealth＂ endowed in the broad-sense tea culture.Originally,the tea was known collectively under the term ＂荼＂（pinyin： tú） along with a great number of other bitter plants.The character ＂荼＂ was finally simplified to ＂茶＂（tea）.This evolutionary process best testifies to the profundity and historical resplendence of traditional Chinese tea culture.Chinese tea culture abounds in rich aesthetic implications.Aesthetic is a transaction or ephemeral relation between subject and object.The aesthetic implications of tea culture are vivid manifestations of the values and morals relating to tea culture.The aesthetic implications of traditional Chinese tea culture find its best expression in such three aspects as equilibrium,inner peace,and elegance.
