| Abstract: | As the kernel of Imagism, image consists of two parts: the subjective idea and the objective apparel; phenomenon, the core of phenomenology, is defined as the appearance of things for and to a consciousness. The paper states the internal relations between image and phenomenon, and discusses the appreciation of imagist poems in terms of four levels of works of art in phenomenology. |
