试论传统墨学的近代复兴

自晚清以来，曾一度沦为“绝学”的先秦“显学”——墨学得以复兴，被树为抵御西方文化入侵的思想武器。梳理传统墨学在近代复兴的三个阶段。分析其复兴的社会、文化背景不难发现其固有的局限性，即工具性，这也是传统墨学在近代只能风行一时，却未能生根发芽的根本所在。

A Preliminary Exploration on the Mohism Renaissance during Modern Times

Since late Qing Dynasty, the Mohism, which had been once a famous school of thought at pre-Qin times and reduced to be forgotten since Xihan Dynasty, revived and was regarded as an ideological weapon to defense cultural aggression from those western countries. After analyzing the three stages and the social and cultural background of Mohism Renaissance during modern times, it is far from difficult to find out the inherent limitations of this trend resulted from its nature as a tool. This is the fundamental reason why the renaissance of Mohism during modern times was ephemeral but failed to get rooted in modern society.
