比较级、最高级用法要点辨析

一、比较应在同类事物之间进行误:The students of Class One study harder than Class Two.正:The students of Class One study harder than those of Class Two.误: In winter, the weather of Beijing is colder than Shanghai.正: In winter, the weather of Beijing is colder than that of Shanghai. 析:为了避免重复,比较状语从句中有些成分常被省略,但作为“比较对象”的成分不能省掉。误句中把The students of Class One和Class Two;theweather of Beijing和Shanghai两个不同类的事物相比较,显然是错误的。
