A New Theory of Adaptive Behavior --the Model of Social Competence

With the development of research in the education of children with mental disability,adaptive behavior of these children has become one of focus of the researcher. However, there are many arguments on the study of adaptive behavior. In this article, the development of the model of social competence, which was put forward by psychologist Greenspan, will be discussed with reference to children with mental disability.
